Course Description

Ignite Your Community On Demand™ Immersion Experience!

The JEM Team Boot Camp is an intensive 8-week virtual summer program that transforms college town community challenges into high-stakes competitions where students solve real-world socio-economic issues using The Stakeholder’s Dilemma Canvas Model and The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs.

Participants will compete weekly to develop entrepreneurial solutions addressing local socio-economic conditions, applying financial literacy, business strategy, and STEAM innovation to their projects. Winning solutions will be featured at the HBCU NY Classic & The GOAT Classic STEAM Career Fairs, providing students with networking opportunities, career exposure, and potential funding for their projects.

How It Works

Weekly Competitions – Each week, teams will complete one lesson from The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs, applying their knowledge to create solutions for their community’s Stakeholder’s Dilemma.

There are two types of JEM Teams:

  • K-12 (6th-12 graders) Must have 1 adult group leader  (age 18+) for every 10 students.
  • Young Adults (ages 16-24).

\Weeks 1-2: Understanding the Problem – Analyze community challenges using The Stakeholder’s Dilemma Canvas Model.
Weeks 3-4: Designing the Solution – Apply financial literacy, strategic planning, and value creation.
Weeks 5-6: Building the Business Model – Develop sustainable revenue streams and resource management strategies.
Weeks 7-8: Pitching & Implementation – Refine the final proposal and present solutions to stakeholders.

🏆 Winning teams will present their solutions at the HBCU NY Classic & The GOAT Classic STEAM Career Fairs!
